Job Overview
Mission Samriddhi is in the growth phase. We put great emphasis, especially during this phase, on the mode and medium of our communication to the world at large, ensuring that the language has humanity and empathy as its core messaging. We would like to share details of what we do, what we have achieved, and where we could have done better to other organizations as well as all our stakeholders. It is critical that the incumbent is fully aware of what is happening in the field at all our locations, and communicate the same through a variety of social media so as to not only build a groundswell of expectation about what we as Mission Samriddhi do, but also try our utmost to deal with the waves of despair and despondency that sometimes tries to overcome us and our nation.
As we work with panchayats and rural communities, it is required that the incumbent travels to all our operational areas, meet our personnel and the communities that they work and serve in, and curate stories that would resonate on social media. The candidate must be aware of the intricacies involved in getting the message across on varied social media platforms, and will report into the Director – Communications.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a social media manager, you’ll manage the Organisation’s online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analysing usage data, facilitating customer service and managing projects and campaigns. You should have good command over written and spoken English and Hindi. Experience in the development sector will be appreciated though not a must.
As a social media manager, you’ll need to:
- develop creative and engaging social media strategies
- manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
- oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Asana and Olapic
- create engaging multimedia content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple platforms, including blogs and creating newsletters.
- develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote the Organisation and brand
- form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
- undertake audience research
- manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
- monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
- research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity.
- set targets to increase brand awareness and increase stakeholder engagement
- manage a budget for social media activities
- educate/ build capacities of partner organisations and field teams on the use of social media and promote its use to achieve Organisational goals, programme objectives, create awareness and information dissemination.
- Update website content and maintain digital archives.
Requirements:
- Post Graduation in Mass Communications / Journalism / Visual Communication from any recognised university or institution.
- Proficient in CorelDRAW / InDesign and video editing
- Self-starter, with empathy for fellow human beings and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience of 3+ years, having varied experience of dealing with social media.
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to write content for publication regarding our activities, without active supervision.
